Heritage Open Days is England’s biggest heritage festival and this year, for the first time, the event will cover two weekends – the second and third weekends in September.
It celebrates our fantastic history, architecture and culture; offering people the chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences.
All venues are free to explore during the times shown in the programme thanks to the efforts of volunteers who open them.
This year we have 31 venues and two walks in Deal and Walmer for Heritage Open Days, a description of the events is here.
You can see all of the events in an interactive map at www.heritageopendays.org.uk/visiting/map-search/south-east.
Deal and Walmer Heritage Open Days are organised by the Addelam History Research Group and The Deal Society in conjunction with Deal Town Council and Walmer Parish Council.
